Theme:  Developing through Play

Play is the surprising right that children have, it’s the twinkle in their eyes and the most desired occupation of children!  How we play influences our learning and character.  Play contributes to holistic development, happiness, harmonious relationships and the healing and health of a child. As adults we need to ensure that there are stimulating, safe and sustainable ‘places’ for children to occupy!  This workshop explores the value of play and our responsibility in enabling it.

This workshop will look at the value of prayer and intercession with children. It will give participants creative practical prayer ideas that will enable them to lead age appropriate prayer and intercession times with children. It will also focus on how to teach and lead children in hearing and obeying God’s voice individually and corporately.

Stream: Working with Families

Theme:  Parenting

Every child is a precious gift from God.  Parents and caregivers can create a positive heritage within their families by teaching their children the right ways to live. Together we will explore this area of parenting. We will also learn a few practical ways to parent children which can be used personally or in our work with families.  Raising good children does not happen by chance but by intentionally applying God’s biblical principles.
