musaMusa Njoko - One of the first women in South Africa to publicly disclose her HIV+ status, Musa is an advocate for positive living, an artist, speaker and – with two music albums – an accomplished musician.

David Westlake - As a director at Tearfund, Soul Action UK & a Soul Survivor trustee, David’s passionate about mission that holds together evangelism, conversion, discipleship, justice, prayer and practical service.

Rachel Bowyer - is one of the co-founders of Soul Action South Africa, which is a network of Christians who interact, share ideas, resources and all sorts of needs.

Rachel is an experienced teacher who is qualified to teach adults and children with Specific Learning Difficulties.  She has developed an award winning literacy programme which trains local people how to support teachers and teaches 1,450 children to read and write in English on a day to day basis.  She is has a thirteen year old son, Zachary, who is passionate about Liverpool Football Club and Cycling.

Dave Richter - is Missions and Justice Director at Grace Family Church, where has responsibility for Day Missions and registered NGO’s Grace Aid and The Container Ministry. Prior to taking up his role at Grace Family Church he spent 15 years as a shipping attorney. Dave is passionate about integral mission, and his hearts desire is to see this worked out in the lives of people. He is married to Debbie and together they have (without showing any bias) two awesome young children. He loves art and flying.

Phil Bowyer
 -  is one of the Directors at Soul Action, where he is responsible for leading the team and facilitating opportunities for people who are passionate about integral mission to address various forms of poverty by networking, training and working together.  Phil is the author of several books on integral mission including Express Community, A Different World and The Whole Wide World.  In his spare time Phil enjoys extreme sports like rumba and tango, squash and table tennis, football and soccer (League One, Port Vale are his team of choice).

Wayne Taylor – served in the Methodist Church for 18 years before joining the team at Grace Family Church as the Executive Pastor. He is Married to Michelle and they have two stunning adult daughters, Abigail and Hannah. Wayne describes himself as 48 years of living, loving life and learning daily.

cwaClare Whittaker - moved to South Africa, from England, in January 2012 to join Soul Action South Africa as their Children’s and Family Work Co-ordiantor.  She brings to this role 15yrs experience working with children and families in a number of different contexts and an MA in Children’s and Youth ministry.

Skip Collins – is the Creative Arts Pastor at Grace Family Church.  He describes himself as the husband of, “..one very long-suffering wife, the father of three amazing adult sons and father-in-law to two beautiful daughters.”  They hail from Muskegon Michigan in the USA, but traded the shores of Lake Michigan for the shores of the Indian Ocean in December of 1989.

Diane Fick – is involved in training and supporting isiZulu / English speaking tutors working with educators in local schools to deliver a phonics based literacy program. Although Diane is South African, she has spent the last 9 years teaching in West London, England. She has returned to South Africa recently, hoping to use her teaching skills to fulfil her two passions: providing opportunities for children to learn to read and write, and empowering women through education and training.

Tom Basson's profile photoTom Basson - is husband to a smart, sassy wife named Jess, and father to two little boys named Will and Luke.  He is the pastor of Grace Family Church’s Riverside Campus, and has recently completed a Masters in Theology and Vocational Practice.  Tom’s blog is read internationally by thousands, has been translated into several languages, and printed in numerous magazines and publications.  He is passionate about just living – helping people to connect their story with God’s story of restoration and redemption.

Renske Fitzjohn - has over 10 years experience of working with Christian ministries and non-profit organisations in Holland, the UK and South Africa. Renske has a Masters in Leadership Development from Fuller and is a DISC personality profile trainer. She currently facilitates training in Leadership & Management, Project Management and Office Skills. Renske is married to Steve, and they have a daughter, Elizabeth and son, Thomas.
